Social Media Marketing Specialist

This role is ideal for a driven Social Media Marketer with 1-3 years experience. We are a small team, we allow a lot of autonomy, and we provide excellent working conditions with the flexibility to work from home and the office. We are looking for a talented marketer who is in the first few years of their career.

Where are we located

Although we are housed at 2 Park Street (Citibank Building) above Town Hall station. We have our own corner office with views of the Queen Victoria Building, and access to unlimited seats in a business lounge with views of Darling Harbour. This is a Remote Work role, so you can work from the comfort of your home office…but you are also welcome to join us at our corporate office in the Sydney CBD if you would like to work from the office now and then. We believe in a modern workplace: we provide a workplace which is not defined by a physical office.

Who will you work alongside

Although we are a small team, you will work alongside skilled executives, designers, developers, and full-stack digital marketers. Additionally, you will also work with clients directly.

Job responsibilities

Your essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Write social copy for our customers including ghostwriting for our VIP clients
  • Manage and optimise social campaigns across multiple accounts (12 and counting)
  • Implement paid social campaigns focused on gaining traffic and conversions
  • Managing social media spend, and adjusting ads based on performance
  • Work with others in the team to create and implement high level social ads strategies
  • Help our clients get more from their Socials by reviewing and analysing campaign data to identify areas of improvement
  • Draw valuable insights from your clients campaigns to continually drive improvements.
  • Own and improve our Social Media Automation toolset (Buffer, HubSpot)
  • Manage Email marketing for leads that have come via your Social Media channels
  • Add high-performing copy and creative that you have tested on Social to Email nurture campaigns
  • Schedule and automate email nurture campaigns
  • Be a power user of Analytics (Google Analytics, and analyse data directly from Social channels)
  • Coordinate work and communicate with internal and external content writers, designers, and web developers
  • Track and report on performance of campaigns
  • Get involved in ideation and brainstorming

You have

  • 1-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience building campaigns and generating real leads via Social
  • Knowledge and experience with Facebook Business & Ads Manager
  • Knowledge and experience with LinkedIn
  • Knowledge and experience of email marketing / marketing automation platforms (HubSpot ideally)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, are data-driven and tech savvy
  • Hands on experience in building high performing social ads
  • Experience setting up conversation tracking, to accurately track & report on leads.
  • Have a passion for social media marketing and delivering commercial results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment and passion for learning

Desirable (not essential) criteria

  • Working knowledge of HubSpot or other CRM systems
  • Experience of driving Social traffic to WordPress sites
  • Blog writing or other long copywriting experience
  • PowerPoint or Google Slides skills
  • Adobe Creative Cloud experience (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc)
