The above stats indicate that Sales organisations globally have an issue with Top of Funnel. Quality leads are hard to find. Good B2B Marketing teams hunt for leads, but the majority of MQLs do not convert. Even the best qualified accounts are usually not in the market for your product or service at any point in time.
Most importantly: salesforces that do not ensure a constant stream of net new opportunities are at great risk of missing target. In fact, there is no better lead indicator of a bad quarter in three months’ time than poor prospecting activity right now.
