Account Manager (B2B Marketing)

This role (Account Manager) reports into our CMO and the CEO. You will work closely with the two directors (CMO and CEO). You will also have coordinating relationships with our internal team, our contractors, the external team and the sub-agencies to help our clients drive leads, drive revenue, be profitable, drive growth and become sustainable organisations. Although it is a small team, you will work alongside very skilled Strategists, Marketers, Analysts, Designers, Developers, Content Writers, and other B2B marketing specialists. You will be responsible for the outcome our clients want: Leads > Revenue > Profitability > Growth > Sustainability. You will have the scope to create campaigns, come up with original ideas, delegate work, and oversee campaigns from start to finish.

We help B2B organisations become grow, become profitable, become sustainable and get to the desired ‘exit’.We play at the nexus of STRATEGY, MARKETING and SALES. Our focus is on B2B organisations only.

Through your career you were either an internal marketer and worked up through the ranks or you came from the agency (B2B) world and developed your career as an Account Manager. You have proven experience in either growing organisational revenue as an internal marketer, or helping drive client success as an account manager. WHERE ARE WE LOCATED:

Although we are housed at 2 Park Street (Citibank Building) above Town Hall station. We have our own corner office with views of the Queen Victoria Building, and access to unlimited seats in a business lounge with views of Darling Harbour. This is a Remote Work role, so you can work from the comfort of your home office…but you are also welcome to join us at our corporate office in the Sydney CBD if you would like to work from the office now and then. We believe in a modern workplace: we provide a workplace which is not defined by a physical office.

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT SKILLS YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED AT THIS ROLE:

  • Ability to work closely with the CMO (Head of Client Retention)
  • Execute on CMO’s strategy
  • Develop and lead campaigns that help achieve the client’s strategy
  • Ability to manage the relationship with the client
  • Maintain client satisfaction scores
  • Look after client account with the required service levels

MARKETING SKILLS YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED AT THIS ROLE:

NOTE … We appreciate that an individual will not necessarily have skills or experience in all of the below mentioned areas. However, the more of the below areas you are across, the higher your chances of securing this position.

  • Advertising (Digital): Knowledge of / Appreciation of digital advertising campaigns leveraging vehicles such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Advertising etc.
  • Advertising (Publications): Your relationships and experience of engaging with IT publications in the Australian region to advertise our client’s products, services and offerings will be favourably seen.
  • Analytics: Proficiency/Expertise leveraging analytics tools such as Google Analytics, MOZ, SEMRush. The aim of your analytics prowess would be to refine and fine-tune our strategy and campaigns. We are a data-driven organisation, and your analytical skills will be a must.
  • Campaign Management: Experience managing campaigns, digital and traditional, end to end. Note that the aim of our campaigns is commercial. You must be a commercially-driven marketer.
  • Client Relationship Management: Ability to work with owners, directors, senior executives, middle-managers and frontline staff members of client organisations to help our clients achieve organisational goals.
  • Content Marketing: Proficiency/Expertise in various aspects of content marketing.
  • Copywriting skills: Proficiency/Expertise in writing copy for web pages, marketing collateral, press releases, sales enablement materials etc.
  • CRM: Proficiency/Expertise with CRM packages such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, HubSpot etc.
  • Data Analysis: Your ability to leverage data to make decisions, design campaigns and fine-tune go-to-markets will be highly regarded.
  • Design: Proficiency/Expertise in using design tools such as the Adobe suite. If you cannot use these tools in a hands-on manner, your ability to oversee design projects is a must.
  • Direct Mail Campaigns: Experience of devising, designing and implementing traditional mail campaigns.
  • Drip campaigns: You appreciate that complex offerings are not sold in one email or through one touchpoint. You are adept at devising, designing and implementing drop campaigns that allow the prospect to become a customer.
  • Email Marketing: Proficiency/Expertise in email marketing tools such as Campaign Monitor, Mailchimp and HubSpot email marketing.
  • Ideation: Your ability to be creative and come up with market-leading ideas that help drive leads and generate revenue will be highly regarded.
  • Lead Gen: You MUST be an absolute star when it comes to lead generation in the B2B sphere.
  • Marketing Automation: Proficiency/Expertise in one or two marketing automation platforms
  • Market Planning & Research: You will demonstrate experience of conducting market research and market planning before devising campaigns.
  • Paid Social: Proficiency/Expertise in coordinating paid advertising campaigns on social media channels
  • Project Management: Proficiency/Expertise running marketing projects.
  • SEO skills: Proficiency/Expertise managing search engine optimisation campaigns.
  • Social Media Marketing: Proficiency/Expertise in leveraging LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for social media marketing campaigns.
  • Website Development: Experience of coordinating website development projects from end to end.
  • Website management: Experience of coordinating the management of corporate websites with a team of designers, developers, content writers etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideally, you have an undergraduate degree in Marketing, or a business related discipline, from a reputable university.

CERTIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • 5+ years of account management experience in a B2B Marketing setting.
  • Deep understanding and appreciation of the B2B buyer journey.
  • Outcome-focussed, results-driven, not Input-driven.
  • Demonstrated experience in lead-generation.
  • Power-user of Google Analytics.
  • Experience with at least one Marketing Automation platform (such as Marketo, Pardot, HubSpot).
  • Focus on adding REAL and MEASURABLE value to our clients.
  • Be able to brief, guide, collaborate with and execute work with junior staff.
  • Be able to manage external contractors and sub-agencies to deliver a high-quality result.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel), word processing skills (Google Docs or Microsoft Word) and presentation skills (Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint).
